Look out world! She's on the move!

The Das household officially has a resident crawler! Sophie decided to make her big move from rocking back and forth on her hands and knees to actually taking crawl steps forward yesterday. I guess I should baby proof the house now! She doesn't get very far yet. She's also saying "Mama" ALL the time! I love it! It may not have any meaning behind it in her mind when she says it, but it still melts my heart...

Here she is talking and refusing to crawl. If you listen closely you can hear me coaching her in the background. I'm such a pageant mom! :)

Here she is crawling for a little bit. I stole the toy she was chewing on so she would have to come and get it. She's very pleased with herself when she finally steals it back. I'm not the best cinematographer. Maybe I should have had less coffee today. Anywho...I hope viewers of this video do not get seasick.

A day at the park!

Today was a nice warm day. Although, I usually really like the crisp autumn air of October, sadly it was a high of 85, so no crispyness here. Sophie and I (Kristin) met Isabella and Erica at the park today. We watched a man throw food at the ducks in the pond. One of the ducks had a fro. It was particularly awesome when a huge gust of wind would sweep upon us and spray the nasty pond water onto us. Over all, it was a fun little park date! At this moment my precocious little princess is supposed to be taking a nap. However, I can see her on the monitor sitting up in her crib with her blanket in her mouth. Every now and then I hear her squeal. Funny little person. Freddie is home now. It's so nice to have my little family all under one roof. I'm so grateful for them both. :)

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

This past week we visited to the Under the Sun store to pick out pumpkins for carving. Sophie enjoyed playing with the hay. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out!

7:30 am tee time!

So today I(Fred) was up at 6:20 am to get in an early round of golf. I decided to play at fairfax golf club in edmond which is a hidden gem! Since it is so far north of oklahoma city it is mostly empty during the early morning hours.

There was hardly any wind this morning and it was around 55 degrees when I started playing. Just a perfect day for golf! I ended up shooting a 83 and I three putted on 5-6 holes so I could have easily broken 80 today. All in all i am not complaining though! A great start to the day...

Sophie Jane

A sweet little baby girl joined our family on March 30, 2010! Sophie Jane has been an absolute joy. We love her to the moon and back. She is the happiest little 6 month old we have ever met.

First Doctor Visit

Last Tuesday we went for our first Doctor visit. I was very excited and nervous. They made us wait and wait and wait and wait in this tiny little waiting room full of big pregnant women. Finally, they called us back and we got to see our baby for the very first (ok, very second because I cheated and got scanned at work) time! It was so fun to see her (or him) waving her little arms and legs around. I was much relieved to hear her heartbeat. The doctor said everything looked perfect. Then she printed off a long strip of pictures of the baby and tore one off and gave it to me and left with all the rest. I was kind of bummed that we got just one picture, but one is better than none. We left the office in high spirits. It was a wonderful day!

We're pregnant!

Today was a monumental day in the Das household. Today we found out that we are having a baby! I found out first. I had this elaborate plan of how I was going to surprise Freddie with the news, but I can never be cool when I want to be. Instead, I screamed and ran into the bedroom and woke him up by waving a pee stick in his face. I believe his first words were "No way. Are you serious?" And then he was thrilled to the hills! And that's where we are today! Pregnant!
